戦前ブルース音源研究所

Pre War Blues Laboratories

" Arthur Blind Blake " の ディスコグラフィーです。

録音順ではなく、レコードの発売された順に整頓してあります。このディスコグラフィーは、ドイツのリサーチャー  Stefan Wirz 氏 
のBlind Blake レコード&CD ディスコグラフィーよりparamount SP盤を抜粋。研究所所有のSP盤写真も新たに加え監修しております。

彼のHPは多くのブルースマンのSPからCDに至るまでの ディスコグラフィーが網羅されており優れたディスコグラフィーとして世界的に有名です。

戦前ブルース音源研究所がリリースしている Arthur Blind Blake True Revolution も掲載されてます。

当ページは未完成です、 今後 解説等の資料を追加してゆく予定です。 修正音源のサンプルなどもご紹介したいと考えてます。

初録音は 2655 Dying Blues - Leola B Wilson とのセッション(Pm12392)であるが、レコードとしてカップリングされたのは
実はブレイクの方が早いことが分かります。

録音の速度は、78rpmを基準とした場合にはかなり遅く 72rpm~68rpm 辺りでの録音であったと思います。

カップリングは Early Morning Blues の 2668 Take-2 と West Coast Blues の 2669 Take-3 です。 
この8月のセッションでの同曲のカップリングは、このテイクのみしか残されてません。

Early Morning Blues take-1,West Coast Blues take-1,2 は 何らかの理由でボツテイクとなったと思われます。
それは、ブレイクの演奏が失敗したのではなく、録音エンジニア側のミスであったように想像しています。

True Revolution-CDでは この日の録音は75rpm での修正としてますがどの様に感じましたでしょうか?

TP0.288程度と広く設定してます。この設定では3分20秒ギリギリです。 78rpm録音では完全にアウトになります。
